The V series Tunland bakkies are the first Foton products featuring 48 V mild-hybrid technology, which is incorporated into both the Tunland V7 and V9’s shared 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbodiesel engine. The oil-burner is exclusively coupled with a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission. Both of the latter models produce 120 kW and 450 N.m of torque, which is available from a lowly 1 800 r/min to 2 600 r/min.
In addition, the Tunland V7 and V9’s bodywork, despite the distinct exterior styling, measures the same in length, width, and height — 5 541 mm, 2 030 mm, and 1 905 mm. The wheelbase measures 3 355 mm. The ground clearance comes in at 240 mm.
